Waterford Museum of Treasures is one of the city’s most popular attractions. Using the latest in interactive and audiovisual technology, it tells the story of Waterford, Ireland’s oldest city, from the first Viking settlers, who arrived over 1000 years ago, to the present day. Highlights include Viking artifacts, such as the Waterford Kite Brooch, a fine example of secular metalwork, a beautiful Charter Roll of 1372, Ireland’s most important late medieval decorated manuscript, and the only surviving medieval bow in Ireland and the UK.
