The Upper Caragh River is a fisherman’s heaven. Here, one of the best Salmon rivers in Ireland flows through the heart of some of the country’s most spectacular scenery. Anglers can access the river through well-kept paths and footbridges. The fishery produces around 300 salmon a year and it has seven beats. Other facilities include a tackle shop selling rods, reels and flies, and boats for hire. Most of the paths can be accessed by wheelchair.
