A rather plain yellow-sandstone building, Cavan Town Hall was built in 1909, and officially opened in 1910. Before that the site had been part of Farnham Gardens. By 1912, it was being used as the town’s first cinema, as well as being a venue for a varity of other entertainment, from from roller skating to theatre.
