The Town Hall Theatre is Galway’s most important entertainment venue, staging performances nearly every night of the year. Drama, opera, ballet, film, concerts and musicals can all be seen as can some of the worlds best theatre companies and performers. They have included the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Druid Theatre Company, RTE Concert Orchestra and Nigel Kennedy. The Theatre is also home to the The Black Box, a smaller theatre for experimental productions. The Town Hall Theatre is the most successful medium-sized theatre in Ireland.
