The Old Barracks
Bridge Street, Cahersiveen, County Kerry - Ireland

Map

With its tall turrets reflected in the river and hills, The Old Barracks is a picturesque site. A one-time home to the Royal Irish Constabulary, it was built between 1869 and 1871. It’s now restored and used as a Heritage Centre. There are craft workshops, a restaurant and a museum. Visitors can browse the archeological remains on displays, watch the audio-visual presentation and enjoy breathtaking views of the lovely seaside town of Cahersiveen, which is all around.
