The landscape of County Donegal is legendary, and it’s celebrated in the Dolmen Centre. A Field Study Room traces the geological processes that created it, and details the lives of the County’s earliest inhabitants, whose monuments and tombs are still part of the landscape. The Dolmen Centre is the Republic of Ireland’s only eco-tourism complex. Powered by wind and sun, it has other eco-features including a Reed Waste Management System and an underground geothermal heat bank. Facilities include a multi-functional hall, a coffee dock, a gym and sauna and a playground. There’s also a craft centre and an art gallery here.
