The Dingle Peninsula is remote, mountainous and beautiful. The Dingle Way takes walkers around its treacherous coastline, where the Atlantic splinters on billion-year-old rocks and sheer cliffs cast shadows over long sandy beaches. Other highlights include some of the best archeological sites in Ireland, from Ogham stones to deserted huts, and Mount Brandon’s spectacular shoulder pass. Starting and ending in Tralee, the Dingle Way is 179kms long. Fit walkers should complete it in around nine days.
