St Audoen’s Church is the only medieval parish church in Dublin. Located in the middle of the walled city, it dates from the 12th century. Much remains from its long history, including probably the oldest bells in Ireland, an early Christian gravestone known locally as the Lucky Stone and the 15th-century Portleister Tomb, comprising effigies of two church benefactors. Another attraction is an exhibition on St Audoen set against the background of the medieval city of Dublin.
