Dublin’s largest enclosed city park covers some 270 acres. Within it is an outstanding international rose garden. Some 10 acres of old-fashioned, rambling, climbing and tea roses have been planted against a foil of mature woodland. Summer is the best time to see them. The rest of the park is home to recreational facilities. St Anne’s Park is the one-time home of the Guinness Family, and the Park was laid out in the 1880s, and acquired by The Dublin Corporation in 1939.
