Map

Ireland’s National folk Theatre, Siamsa Tire, was founded in 1974 to bring the country’s rich cultural heritage to modern audiences. Performances incorporating music, dance, folklore and mime, but no dialogue, make up an award-winning calendar of theatre performances. They have been acclaimed worldwide, and international awards have included the European Folk Art Prize. In the same building is an arts centre, which caters for the visual arts with three galleries, the venues for group and one-man shows. Local, regional and international artists are featured.
