There are perhaps only six groups of bottlenose dolphins in Europe. The Shannon Estuary has one of them, and it’s the job of Shannon Dolphin and Wildlife Foundation to protect them. This is their headquarters, and visitors can find out all about the famous dolphins. Activities include listening to Dolphin music, exploring dolphin skeletons and skulls and catching up on the latest dolphin research. Other attractions include google boxes, rubbing boards and jigsaws.
