One of Ireland’s most influential contemporary art galleries, the Royal Hibernian Academy sets out to challenge the public’s appreciation of the visual arts. Painting, drawing, photography, sculpture and installation are all exhibited in its four galleries. Three are devoted to exhibitions of Irish and International art. The fourth is the Ashford Gallery, a gallery within a gallery, devoted to emerging artists not yet commercially represented. The RHA Summer Exhibition is the most important annual art show in Ireland.
