Rosslare is Ireland’s sunniest place. Every year it gets an average of 300 hours more sunshine than everywhere else in the country. Tourists have been coming to the beach here for at least 100 years. Rosslare Strand is a golden spit of sand arching into the Irish Sea. It is a Blue Flag beach and therefore clean and safe, as well as popular for fishing. Bass, dogfish, smoothound, flounder, plaice, dab, ray and tope can be caught during the night tides.
