The River Clady runs for some fives miles between Lough Nacung and the Crolly River Estuary. Its flow is controlled by a hydroelectric power station, which lets down 18 freshets between May and September. The best run for Salmon is at the end of July and for sea trout at the end of August. The stretch downstream of Bunbeg is especially good for sea trout. The river has good access from the banks, but a permit is needed for fishing.
