Forty years of inspired planting has produced one of County Dublin’s best spring gardens. Snowdrops, Irises, hellebores, peonies, auriculas and the exquisite star-shaped flowers of erythroniums provide a kaleidoscope of spring colour and texture. Later in the year, roses and lilies and a good range of perennials take over. Other highlights include an arboretum and a fine avenue of beech trees. Primrose Hill House and Gardens were once part of the Lucan House Demesne, which has a Regency house designed by James Gandon.
