Portmarnock Beach
Portmarnock, County Dublin - Ireland

Map

Portmarnock is a multi-activity beach offering more than the usual swimming and sunbathing. Horseriding, rollerblading, windsurfing, kite surfing, walking and, nearby, golfing, are among other popular pursuits. The five-mile stretch of sand has seen its share of adventures in the past too, being the starting point for the westbound transatlantic flight in 1930 and the first sole flight in 1932. Portmarnock Beach also has a Martello tower and fine views of Howth Harbour and the Dublin Mountains.
