People’s Park

The People’s Park is Waterford City’s biggest public park. Around 16 acres of green space were created in the 19th century, and the park still contains a Victorian bandstand, where visiting bands occasionally perform. Other attractions include a cycle track and a water feature with a unique sphere sculpture. The park is currently undergoing restoration and regeneration, with the latest addition being a popular children’s play area. Events held here include Waterford on Ice, part of the City’s Christmas festival.
