The Childhood home of Oscar Wilde is also one of the finest Georgian houses in Dublin. Restored around 1998, the house’s period features were then revived along with the traditional crafts needed to restore them. Attention to detail included the use of period paints, antique rugs and fabrics, and specially made Irish Georgian furniture. Today the house is open all year and art and sculpture exhibitions feature the work of contemporary artists. Tours are available for groups.
