Oak Park covers 12 acres of lakes and woodland alive with animals and plants. Forests of mature beach, oak, Scots pine, silver fir, larch and sycamore enclose tranquil lakes, which are the habitat for swans, ducks and other birds. Four kilometres of marked woodland walks take in the best of the scenery and the wildlife. Butlers Wood Loop is wheelchair accessible and there are seats on all the other walks. Further relaxation is available in the many picnic areas. The park is free.
