In the shadow of the beautiful Blackstair Mountains, Nore View Folk Museum is home to some 10,000 exhibits illustrating Ireland’s past. Among them, displays connected to William of Orange, who camped near here after the Battle of the Boyne. They include a letter of reinstatement, bearing the King’s Seal, for the Mayor of Kilkenny. The Museum is also home to a traditional kitchen, a carpenter’s workshop, a forge, a dairy and some interesting Irish transport exhibits.
