Two centuries of zoological discoveries and acquisitions are here. Two million species, half of them insects, have been collected from around the world by generations of explorers and scientists. Some 10,000 of them are on display. Highlights include the Irish Room, with exhibits ranging from prehistoric Giant Irish Deer to Basking Sharks, and The Lower Gallery, which charts the evolution of vertebrates, such as fish, reptiles and birds. Look out for the legendary Dodo in the collection of birds.
