Ireland’s premier indoor sports arena was opened in 1993. Today, the 2000-seat facility hosts not only basketball competitions but also other sporting events, including hockey, football, gymnastics, volleyball, netball, indoor hurling, snooker and martial arts. Cultural events are held here too, including concerts, exhibitions and theatre. The National Basketball Arena is also the headquarters of Basketball Ireland. Facilities include a large car park, a viewing balcony, and a bar.
