Lisselan Gardens were laid out in the 1850s in the arts and craft style. Typically, its 30 acres of woodlands, borders, rustic bridges and pathways were designed to enhance and blend in with the natural features of its river-valley home. The garden has changed little and today’s highlights include a water garden, a fuchsia garden and an Azalea garden. In addition, many rare and exotic plants thrive in the garden’s mild climate, courtesy of the Gulf Stream.
