Knockree lies beneath the Dublin Mountains, and they are the perfect backdrop for this colourful suburban garden. In spring, the colour comes from rhododendrons, azaleas and woodland flowers. Summer brings with it flowering herbaceous plants, many of them rare, and unusual ferns provide interest all year round. There’s a conservatory here too, filled with tender pelargoniums, and nearby there’s a vegetable and fruit garden. Knockcree Gardens were first created 70 years ago.
