Kilmokea is a Georgian house set in seven acres of restored gardens beside the River Barrow. The gardens are open to the public with facilities including a Georgian Conservatory where cream teas, organic salads are other homemade foods are served. There’s also a craft shop selling the best of Irish design. The gardens themselves include formal walled gardens, a woodland garden and an English-style herbaceous garden. Over 130 species of plants are grown here and there’s a plant shop.
