The Carpet Factory, Fintra Road, Killybegs, County Donegal - Ireland

Map

Donegal Carpets has been producing hand-knotted carpets for over a century. This is its factory. Visitors can find out how the world-famous carpets are made and see the longest hand-knotted carpet loom in the world. Other highlights include a full-sized wheelhouse, and plenty of other items relating to Killybegs’ famous fishing fleet. They include photographs and recorded interviews with boatbuilders, netmakers and others. There’s also a coffee shop and a gift shop displaying local crafts.
