This award-winning heritage village is unique in Europe. A recreation of an 18th-century bog village, it comes complete with replicas of 18th-century thatched cottages, a forge, a hen house and a turf cutters house - turf was cut from the surrounding peat bogs and used for fuel. A shop here sells traditional crafts and what has been described as the best coffee in Ireland. There’s also a children’s play area. Events include performances of traditional Irish music.
