Johnstown Castle
Johnstown Castle Gardens, Wexford Town, County Wexford - Ireland

Map
Johnstown Castle’s chief attraction is its ornamental grounds. At their centre an ornamental lake reflects the Victorian castle’s silvery turrets. Beyond lie mature woodlands and landscaped lawns dotted with trees. They include Monterey Redwoods, Rhododendrons and some of the largest Monterery Cypress trees in Ireland. Other attractions include the ruined medieval castle of Rathlannon, flower borders banked by clipped hedges, a walled garden and the Irish Agricultural Museum, where old horticultural implements can be seen.
