Dunganstown, New Ross, County Wexford - Ireland

Map

In 1848 in the midst of the Great Famine, Patrick Kennedy left this family farm for America. Some 112 years later his great grandson, John F Kennedy, became the youngest ever President of the United States. The Kennedy Homestead, still owned by Kennedys, celebrates his life and legacy. A unique visitor centre and cultural museum, it takes visitors on a journey from the Kennedy homestead to the Boston slums to the Whitehouse. Exhibits include photographs, an audio-visual display and an interpretive display.
