Tucked away between Harcourt Street and Earsfort Terrace, Iveagh Gardens are a hidden gem. Fountains, a maze, a grotto, wilderness and woodlands are crammed into this Victorian town garden, one of the best in Dublin. Ninian Niven designed Iveagh in 1863 and the area used to belong to the Earls of Iveagh. A restoration project begun in 1955 is ongoing, with a new rosarium a recent addition. The Garden is open all year. Admission is free.
