Free guided tours of Ireland’s magnificent Government Buildings leave four times a day every Saturday. They take visitors deep into the last major public building constructed during British rule. Look out for the fine ceremonial staircase overlooked by a beautiful stained glass window, the contemporary Irish art on the walls and the award-winning interior, which was redesigned in 1991. Edwardian Baroque in style, the Government Buildings were designed by Sir Aston Webb, who also redesigned the façade of Buckingham Palace. They were completed in 1922.
