Galway Irish Crystal Heritage Centre offers a crash course in the City’s rich and ancient heritage. Attractions include the Hall of Tribes, an exhibition all about the 14 legendary families that founded the city, and the Crystal Workshop, where visitors can see mastercutters at work. Other exhibitions include The Claddagh Vlllage, home of seafishing, romance, and the famous Claddagh Ring, a worldwide symbol of friendship and love, and a Galway Hooker, one of Galway’s traditional fishing vessels. The Museum’s brief audiovisual show offers a good overview.
