In 1607 the Earls of Ulster left Ireland on a small ship bound for Spain to rally support against the English. They never returned. The Flight of the Earls Heritage Centre tells the story of this event, which is seen as marking the end of the Gaelic Order in Ireland. In fact, the Centre looks out over the shore from which the Earls’ boat sailed. Other attractions include models, maps, wall hangings, literature, artworks and wax models of the Earls and their families.
