The view from the start of this forest walk is spectacular. Minawn Hill looks north over the Rivers Suir, Nore and Barrow, south to Waterford City and east to the craggy coastline of Passage East. Other things to see include foxes badgers and songbirds, rhododendron, bilberry trees and lodge pole pines. Facilities include a picnic site and regular viewing points. The forest was once owned by the Galloway family. Today it’s managed by Coillte, Ireland’s forestry commission.
