The beach at Duncannon village is a mile of golden sand and sand dunes. Awarded the Blue Flag since 1987, it’s a safe and clean beach, patrolled by lifeguards in summer. Three rivers – the Barrow, The Suir and the Nore - meet near its gently sloping sand, where the tidal range can be as much as 300 metres. In summer look out for the International Sand Sculpting Festival, which is held here every year.
