Dublin Butterfly House
Harap Farm, Magillstown, Swords, County Dublin - Ireland

Map

Thousands of the world’s most beautiful butterflies live at Dublin Butterfly House. Visitors to this tropical wonderland can share the drama of their lives. Early birds can watch their metamorphosis from caterpillar to pupae to butterfly, and even their first flights. Look out for the spectacular Blue Morpho Butterfly (Morpho menelaus), whose shimmering wings measure 15cm across. It usually lives in the rainforests of Central and South America. These butterflies are less timid than their wild counterparts, and photo opportunities abound.
