Drogheda’s premier theatre and arts venue draws some 40,000 people a year to its exciting and varied programme of events. Comedy, music, film and fine art can all be seen here. The Centre also takes part in the annual Drogheda Arts Festival, which brings international artists and performers to the town during the May Bank holiday. Droichead Arts Centre has its home in a former police station, built in 1734. Restoration work was completed in 2001.
