Doneraile Wildlife Park’s is an outstanding 18th-century landscaped park. Following the lead of the fashionable English landscape architect, Lancelot Capability Brown, its 166 hectares were transformed into a naturalistic landscape with groves, lakes, cascades, ponds, and tree-lined avenues. Today, herds of deer roam its grasslands and visitors can do the same. Look out for the Giant Redwoods, Chusan Palms and other unusual trees. Doneraile Court was once the home of the St Leger family, who also created the park.
