Craggaunowen is an award-winning prehistoric park set in 50 acres of woodland. It charts the arrival of the Celts in Ireland and the changes they brought to the country. Highlights include a reconstructed Crannog - an Iron Age lake island dwelling, a ringfort - a typical early farmer’s home, a A Togher - an Iron Age road, and a Fulacht Fia or field kitchen. Look out for The Brendan, the leather-hulled boat that Tim Severin and his crew sailed across the Atlantic in the 1970s.
