Cork Public Museum tells the story of the city from the Iron Age to the modern age, with the emphasis on Cork crafts and trades. Look out for outstanding collections of Cork Glass, Cork Silver, Youghal needlepoint Lace and the Garryduff Gold Bird, a fine example of Early Medieval craftsmanship. Ireland’s oldest pick and shovel is also here. The Museum’s home is a elegant Georgian house set within the beautiful landscaped gardens of Fitzgerald Park.
