This three kilometre walk loops the beautiful Castle Lake near Baileborough taking in woodland, river and lakeshore habitats. En route are: a memorial to those who died at Rebel Hill in 1798, the picturesque remains of Bailieborough Castle, which was built in the 19th century and demolished in the 1940s, a fairy fort, and the Hideout Pub. Fishing stands are available around the lake. There is also an adjoining footpath of three kilometres.
