Cashel Folk Village is a reconstruction of a traditional Irish village. Thatched shops, a forge, a pub, a butcher and a penal Chapel are clustered together near the Rock of Cashel. Anyone interested in local history will also appreciate the display of old signs and other village memorabilia. There’s also an old Irish Republican Army museum here, covering the period 1916 to 1923. The Folk Village is open from Easter until September. It was opened in 1984.
