Carlow Town was once at the heart of brewing country, and in the 19th century there were five breweries here. Carlow Brewing Company is an award-winning microbrewery, which has revived the town’s brewing tradition. It’s now one of the world’s leading small breweries. Visitors can sample its famous beers, such as O’haras Celtic Stout, Curim Gold Celtic Wheat Beear and Molings Traditional Red Ale, in the beautifully restored old Goods Store or they can arrange a tour and learn how these beers are made.
