Ballyhoura Country is an area of velvety green pastures and woodlands giving way to hills and mountains. The Ballyhoura Way runs through 90km of it. Keeping mostly to Green Roads - ancient car-free tracks - it begins in John’s Bridge and ends at Limerick Junction. Highlights include a challenging trail across the Ballyhoura Mountains, a much easier one along the banks of the River Aherlow and a forested track into the mesmerizing Glen of Aherlow.
