Balbriggan is a fast-growing fishing and holiday village near Dublin. Its sandy beach is watched over by a Martello tower and backed by coastal paths with wonderful views of the coastline and the Irish Sea. Look for visiting seals from the large colony at Hampton along the coast. The beach is easily accessible from Dublin City, with a train station just minutes away. This is safe beach with lifeguards on duty during the summer.
