Ards Forest Park
Sheephaven Bay, Creeslough, County Donegal - Ireland

Map

Ireland’s most diverse forest park is also the only one with a sandy beach. The sublime Sheephaven Bay is part of Ards Forest Park, a 480-hectare paradise of forests, lakes, rivers and saltmarshes. These different habitats are home to an impressive array of wildlife. Look out for field mice, red squirrels, badgers and stoats. Plant lovers should head for the western end of Lough Lilly where a blanket of white and yellow water lilies awaits them. Facilities include forest trails, picnic areas and a children’s play area.
