Galway City is well known for its vibrant arts scene, and Ard Bia Art Space is one of the many places that has helped build this reputation. Regular shows feature emerging contemporary international artists, whose mediums range from fine art to performance art and film. Icelandic artists are especially well represented. Other events include talks by artists, seminars, lectures, live art events and films. Ard Bia Art Space also has a café, a restaurant and a shop selling art books, periodicals and postcards.
